Why Quality Control is Non-Negotiable
Quality failures damage brand reputation and lose customer trust. Understanding QC empowers you to maintain excellence.
The QC Process
Stage 1: Incoming Material Inspection
Fabric rolls inspected for weight consistency, color accuracy, stretch, and surface defects.
Stage 2: Pre-Production Sample
A PPS represents exactly what will be produced, including fabric, printing, stitching, and branding.
Stage 3: In-Line Inspection
During production: sublimation quality, color consistency, stitching integrity, and size accuracy.
Stage 4: Final Product Inspection
Every finished garment checked for appearance, measurements, print quality, and packaging.
Common Quality Issues
- Color variation between pieces
- Print defects - blurring or misalignment
- Stitching issues - loose threads
- Size inconsistency
AQL Standards
AQL 2.5 for major defects and AQL 4.0 for minor defects is industry standard.
